In the area of business management, he participates in management committees of different companies performing investment analysis, planning and management control, budgets, financial positioning, inventory management, internal process consulting and strategic direction.

Jose Pineiro Cortes is also the President of the Extremena Association of Family Business (AEEF). He replaced Alfonso Pitarch, who served as the President of the association for four years (2012-2016). In one of his interviews, Jose explained what characteristics a company needs to have in order to be considered familiar. He said, “It is constituted by one or several family groups. In my case, my company was constituted by two founding partners that have already retired. We combine the first generation, which I represent, with the second.”
