Wayne Leek development the XP-100, a 10-3/4 inch single shot handgun ,originally chambered for the 222 Remington. 30 Carbine brass (Starline, QTY 100)
100 factory new unprimed Starline 30 Carbine (.30 M1) brass rifle cases. Uses small rifle primers.
UNIT PRICE .28 CENTS EACH.
Designed for use by the US military as a light carbine in the 1940’s, the .30 carbine was used in the venerable M1 Carbine and the full auto M2 version. The gun of choice for many soldiers in WW11 the M1 is still very popular today. Ruger also offers the .30 Carbine in their popular Blackhawk revolver and new M1’s are available from Auto-Ordnance.
30-40 Krag brass (Hornady, QTY 50)
50 Factory new Hornady unprimed 30-40 Krag brass rifle shell casings
HISTORY: The first smokeless rifle cartridge adopted by the US Army in 1892. Originally a Norwegian design, the Model 92 Krag-Jorgensen featured a slide-loading magazine and a single locking lug which does not lend the design in being capable of excessive pressures (SAAMI maximum average 40,000 CUP). Chambers on the Krag-Jorgensen have long throats in order to handle the long 220 grain round nose. Winchester Models 1885 and 95 can be found chambered in the 30-40 Krag as well as Ruger Number 3.
300 Blackout brass (Starline, QTY 100)
.300 AAC Blackout, .300 BLK, 7.62x35mm
100 pieces of Starline 300 AAC Blackout cartridge cases, new, unprimed, small rifle primer pocket. Head stamp “300 BLACKOUT” UNIT PRICE .3175 cents each
The .300 Blackout is based off of a shortened 5.56x45mm case that is necked to .30 caliber. For AR-15 platform rifles and pistols it only requires changing the barrel to go from 5.56 to .300 Blackout. The Blackout’s main purpose is to be used at subsonic velocities in suppressed firearms. Many bolt action and single shot rifles are now being produced in this caliber as well.
RELOADING PREPARATION:
Case mouths MAY not be perfectly round from the manufacturing process, this can be corrected by running brass through the size die (always recommended) prior to loading. Residue from the annealing process may leave a stain on the case neck that can be removed by tumbling. Annealing involves rapid heating then cooling to impart the shell cases with the proper hardness to securely hold bullets in place and provides flexibility to expand and contract through multiple firings.
