[DENVER, 11/30/2015] - The Eating Disorder Center of Denver offers patients with different levels of care to treat the various kinds of eating disorders. These levels allow the center to provide personalized care to more patients, which increases the effectiveness of the treatments.

There are five levels of care available at The Eating Disorder Center of Denver. The programs include Connections House, Outpatient Services, Intensive Outpatient, and Evening Intensive Outpatient Program, as well as Partial Hospitalization Treatment.

Round the Clock Care

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)is the highest level of care that treats patients with acute anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and other disorders. This highly structured intensive program includes therapy and therapeutic exercises 10hours a day, seven days a week.

Treating in Style

The Center offers a Connections House for PHP patients, which can provide a warm and tranquil setting wherein people can relax and continue their treatment in a park-like environment. The house is three miles from the main center, allowing staff easy access to the patients.

Transition Services

Once a patient completes the PHP, they can begin the transition to having some time away from the center. Eating Disorder Center of Denver’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) allows patients to schedule their meals, as well as the amount of time they spend at the center.

Non-disruptive Care

The Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (EIOP) is a similar program to the IOP, but allows patients to continue real-life responsibilities, such as work and school while in therapy. According to the center, this program gives patients the chance to seek treatment without disrupting their daily routine.

Assistance When Needed

Eating Disorder Center of Denver’s Outpatient Services are the lowest level of care available, in that patients are given minimal supervision and have the capability to follow their treatment. The center works with outside treatment providers to help make programs more effective.
