London United Kingdom, 3rd June, 2015 - Dermatologists have warned over the increased risks of developing cancer after tanning sessions. More women are looking for ways to brighten their dull skins.

The World Health Organization carried out a research that showed that artificial sources of radiation such as sun lamps and tanning beds contained a cancer causing substance. Indoor tanning has been linked to most skin cancers both the melanoma and non melanoma. This is because these equipment produce radiation that is similar to the sun and in some cases even stronger than the sun.

Dermatologists are worried that this trend will lead to more skin cancer cases. As much as we all long for that bronze skin that is all youthful and radiant, research indicate that this may lead to the deadliest form of skin cancer. Consequently, frequent exposure to the ultraviolet radiation could result in eye cancer commonly referred to as the ocular melanoma. Although one can easily access private treatment for skin cancer, the risks outweigh the benefits. The other disadvantages of indoor tanning include ageing skin that is wrinkled and change in skin texture.

Melanoma kills one person every 50 minutes and dermatologists are worried that the young adults are also engaging in indoor tanning. Research shows that the earlier you are exposed to these tanning methods, the higher your chances of developing melanoma. What is more shocking is that melanoma has overtaken all the other forms of cancers to emerge the top killer in young adults. Moreover, SCC which is the most common form of cancer in UK has been linked to long term, cumulative sun exposure. This can be disastrous as SCC is able to metastasize thus spreading to other areas of the body.

The good news is that this cancer is treatable when detected early. Dermatologists are able to offer skin cancer treatments at a cost in London. They are warning against frequent exposure to the sun or the use of tanning beds to get a glowing skin. However, they recommend following a routine that involves cleaning your skin in the morning and smoothing on a serum that preferably has Vitamin C as its ingredient. The next step is to apply a moisturizer with an SPF of 15 and above. This is one way to get a glowing healthy skin without exposing yourself to the dangerous UV rays.
