the tool is used, the hammer keeps rotating conserving energy until its gear teeth contact the
gear teeth of the anvil, stopping the hammer from rotating. The input shaft continues to twist
or turn, causing steel balls on the ramp to lift, lifting the hammer assembly until the gear
teeth disengage the gear teeth of the anvil, and the hammer is free to spin again to gain energy. The hammer then springs toward the ramp bottom and is accelerated by the input shaft, until the hammer gear teeth engage with the anvil gear, delivering the impact.
