Delhi- Delhi is the national capital of India and it is one city that places India on the world map. Nevertheless, Delhi has an added wing called Delhi NCR which is one of the most important parts of the national capital. As is evident from the development of the major cities around the world, the foundation for the growth and the large scale development of any city is its usability of available land. The national capital has been very lucky to serve as one of the most influential cities without having a land pooling scheme in place. But, with an increase in the population of the city at a very rapid pace, major importance has been rendered to its stature. It is time to come up with a widespread plan for Delhi in order to tackle the problems of the growing population and the use of land.

Delhi Development Authority has come up with MPD 2021 with the main objective of making affordable housing units available to the people of Delhi. The Land Pooling Policy has also been brought into effect by the authorized signatories. It is nothing but the assembly of small rural areas that need to be transformed into large spaces by way of adjustments. Infrastructural development shall be planned on this land while half of the same land shall be retained by the land owners. Thus, it can rightly be said that LPP is a fair practice.

Under the LPP and Master Plan Delhi 2021, there is just one planned housing township in DDA J Zone and it is by the name Lok Nayak Puram. It is only because of the efforts put in by DDA that is residential unit has come into effect. It covers as area of 80 hectares. It is also worth noting that the proposal for the construction of a 100 meter wide road has also been put in place for this zone. This road is being considered to serve as a link to the transport corridors that connect the zone with NH-8 and NH-10. This zone also boasts of religious institutions and educational organizations.
