FIFA 15 player ratings: Clint Dempsey is the highest-rated MLS player

Seattle Sounders attacker Clint Dempsey is the top-rated MLS player in the upcoming video game FIFA 15 with an 81 followed closely by his United States teammate Michael Bradley, who is an 80.

Bradley isn't the only 80 at Toronto FC, with striker Jermain Defoe also earning an 80 rating. The three are among 14 gold players in the game's Ultimate Team mode. Robbie Keane, Thierry Henry, Landon Donovan, Jermaine Jones, Diego Valeri, Osvaldo Alonso, Obafemi Martins, Federico Higuain, Ignacio Piatto, Pedro Morales and Javier Morales are all gold players ranked at 75 or better.

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard is the top-ranked American, earning an 82 after an excellent display at the World Cup. He's followed by Dempsey, Bradley, Donovan and Jones. Four Americans, Kyle Beckerman, Omar Gonzalez, Jozy Altidore and Fabian Johnson, are ranked 74, narrowly missing the gold threshold.

Dempsey's 82 dribbling rating helps him to the top spot, but it's in the speed category where some MLS players are excelling. Dominic Oduro, the Toronto FC forward is a 64 overall but has a 95 pace rating - the fifth best in the game. Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Kekuta Manneh sits ninth in pace with a 94 rating.

The game may provide a bit of extra motivation for two Georges. Both draft picks who spent time in USL PRO this season, Portland Timbers pick George Fochive and Impact selection George Malki, are the lowest-rated MLS players in FIFA 15, earning 47 ratings.

The game will be released in North America on Sept. 23 and will feature news and features from Goal in the Match Day Live hub.
