Fifty Shades of Grey Star Jamie Dornan Admits He's No Hugh Grant As He Opens Up On New Role

We already know that Jamie Dornan has taken over from Charlie Hunnam as the lead actor in the “Fifty shades movie” but this is not his only claim to fame role.

The actor, who has already appeared in television serials such as “The Fall” and “Once Upon a Time”, will now be seen in a new role. The 31 year old actor is to feature in the historical drama called “New Worlds”, where he plays the role of a young idealist in the Restoration period. In “New Worlds”, he is set appear alongside the likes of Freya Mavor, Alice Englert and Joe Dempsie.
But “Fifty Shades...” and “New Worlds” are not the only two things which are keeping him busy these days. The actor will also return to film the second season of his hot television series “The Fall” in Belfast. The father of one and former Calvin Klein model has, however, divulged that playing the role of the young idealist in “New Worlds” which is set in the Restoration period entailed him to work on his English accent.
This proved to be a little of a challenge, since the actor is North Irish, and said that though he has been in London for the past 11 years or so, he still has a long way to go to improvise that accent. He joked that when “New World” debuts on the television screens, it would probably be such an ear sore (his accent, he meant), that noted English actor, Hugh Grant would be asked to dub over him!
It is beyond the shadow of a doubt that all this acclaim and adulation came to Jamie Dornan after he was cast in the role of 50 shades movie the BDSM loving self made entrepreneur, Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of the racy novel written by Erica James, but when the actor was quizzed about his acting talent and prowess he seemed a little reluctant to talk. On this topic, however, all he could say was that he does not waste his time by doing something that he is not capable of and he admitted that although he had always wanted to act, it is also true that certain things have to be in alignment for that.
He lists luck and the platform on which one has to act, as those things which, when aligned can win you accolades and roles. For the actor he is a certified hunk, it is demoralising for his female fans to note that he is not active on Twitter and he insists that he does not follow anything that has been written about him, because like most people, he too, has a tendency of taking the negative things written or said about him, on board.
But just because he is a hunk, does not mean that he is only surrounded by beautiful actresses like Gillian Anderson (who appears with him on “The Fall”) or Dakota Johnson (Who appears with him on “Fifty Shades...”). Like most men, he loves sports and catches the action whenever possible with his friends. Incidentally, the last time he got angry was when Ireland lost a rugby match and in his heartbroken stupor, he exhibited some bad road rage with quite a bit of swearing!
