Indian Premier League player auction 2019 will take place on December 18. During the IPL auction, the franchises would acquire some fresh talent. The IPL 12 will be will be held around 29 March 2019.

Before the IPL auction 2019 all the eight franchises of the Indian Premier League had submitted their list of players retained and released to BCCI. Almost all of them have retained their core base.

Some players who can make their debut in IPL 2019 include Shimron Hetmyer, Oshane Thomas, Mohammad Shahzad, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Adil Rashid.

Shimron Hetmyer is a Guyanese cricketer who plays for the West Indies. In the Caribbean Premier League 2018, he finished as the third highest run-scorer in the global T20 League. Hetmyer played for Guyana Amazon Warriors in CPL 2018 gathered 440 runs, which included a century and two fifties. In the last month concluded India vs West Indies series, in the first two ODIs against India, he slammed 106 and 94 respectively.
