I grew up in a small town in Mexico and when I was little, I used to sit in front of the television and watch all these travel channels of beautiful places all around the world, and I used to think: "mmhhh, I don't want to just sit in front of the TV and admire these lovely countries, I want to go and travel myself and get to see all these beautiful places in person" and I had no idea how this was going to happen, but it didn't matter, I never worried about the how, I just knew exactly what I wanted and I would "daydream" about it every day.

As I was growing up I used to say to my parents that I wanted to travel around the world and they always said: "yeah sure, when you finish University you can do whatever you like", I suppose they thought I would eventually get over my crazy dream, but of course that wouldn't happen, I hurried up to finish Uni, I took all the extra summer subjects I could to be able to finish earlier, I would get up at 4am whenever I had to, so I could study for my exams to ensure I would never fail a subject as that would mean a delay in making my dream come true, I finally graduated a whole semester earlier than the rest of my generation (on a four and half year degree).

My friends used to say I was very lucky to get such good grades, and this really used to annoy me because I knew it wasn't luck, I was taking action, getting up early, staying up late, choosing to study over a party, because I had a big enough why! I had a big reason and dream behind it which was the fuel that kept me going day in and day out, specially whenever it got tough, I didn't care who thought I was crazy, I knew exactly what I wanted and I was prepared to do whatever it took, nothing was going to stop me!

I started getting part time jobs, summer jobs, saving every single cent I could, to have enough money to pay for my first flight to start traveling around the world as this to me meant my ticket to freedom and I would figure out the rest along the way and THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!!!I graduated in December and in February I was in a plane to Canada!! Yoo hooo and my adventure started, traveling all around the world for 3 years, getting jobs in anything I could to keep funding my trip! My Dream had come true!
