Dr. Chee Yew Wen has received his Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the reputed University of Illinois. He then went on to receive his Doctorate in control sciences and dynamic systems from the University of Rosario. He worked at the Purdue University for some time as the professor of aeronautics and astronautics and developed & taught methods for analysis of control systems.

Dr. Chee Yew Wen is also a proud holder of the Erik Jonsson Chair in Engineering and Computer Science. Dr. Chee has received a number of awards including the CT Sun School of Aeronautics and Astronautics Excellence in Research Award, the NSF Young Investigator Award, and more.

Dr. Chee was one of the members of the Board of Governors at the famous IEEE Control Systems Society too and has authored more than 180 archival and conference publications.

He is definitely among the most sought after personalities in Texas.

Dr. Chee Yew Wen is currently working as the Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Texas. He was the inaugural head of this department and it was under his guidance that the student enrollment and the department showed a splendid growth.

He has several achievements to his name. One of them is co-founding a National Science Foundation. It is a center that aims at bringing the academia and industry together through relevant research and education in order to promote the use of non-conventional sources of energy such as wind energy. Also, Dr. Chee’s publications have been cited for more than 1500 times.
