Ojai, California – (January 25, 2017) – No one can deny the fact that Trump’s unreasonable and wrong stance on Immigration will have a colossal negative affect on America’s world image as the proverbial Dream Land of the Immigrants!

In fact on November 9, 2016, right after announcing the elections’ results, so many Americans of all backgrounds looked into moving to Canada that allegedly the Canadian Immigration Websites crashed. Add to Trump’s Myopia and Bigotry, the new proposed changes to EB-5 Investor Visa Program; then you will understand, the true extent of the impending Immigration Disaster.

For those unfamiliar with EB-5, it is an Investment Visa program, which allows foreign nationals to obtain the Possibility of a Permanent Residency (Green Card) by investing $1,000,000 in a new or existing business; $500,000 in high unemployment or rural areas referred to as TEA. Each investment must create at least 10 full time jobs for American Workers, excluding the Investors or their family members.

Here are some of the proposed changes:

According to the new proposed rules the minimum EB-5 investment in Targeted Employment Areas (TEA) will increase more than 130%: From $500,000, the current required amount, to $1,350,000.

The Non-TEA investment will increase by 80%: From $1,000,000, the current required amount, to $1,800,000.

It is important to know that according to reports prepared by the U.S. Government, in fiscal year 2012 and fiscal year 2013, the EB-5 Immigration Program created an estimate 169,759 American Jobs through 134 projects with total investment of $16.4 billion dollars. And this number is through Regional Centers only; thus they do not include direct EB-5 Investments.

The question is; why would any rational investor/immigrant risk so much money and years of anxiety and uncertainty, if they can immigrate to Canada for a Risk Free Investment of $800,000 (Canadian dollars)?

Yes, Canadian Province of Quebec offers a program that an investor could qualify for Canadian Permanent Residency, which could lead to Canadian Citizenship, simply by making a Government-Secured, Risk-Free Investment of $800,000 (Eight Hundred Thousand Canadian Dollars) and voila, welcome to Canada.

Should the so-called EB-5 Investment Modernization Proposal become law; it would act as the proverbial last nail on the coffin of this foreign investment and American Job creating program.

It is hard enough for Prospective Immigrants to swallow the New President of the United States’ Immigrant bashing stance. Let alone investing such large amounts that by law must be at risk. This means that if the investment fails to produce 10 new jobs, per investment, the investors could possibly lose their money, and the dream of calling America, Home!
