How to Become a Pilot in India?
Before I give you a step-by-step guidance on how to become a pilot after 12th, let me first give you an overview of the two routes you can pursue to become a pilot in India:

1. Commercial Pilot
To pursue this path to become a pilot, you must first obtain a commercial pilot certificate from a recognised authority, such as India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation. As a commercial pilot, you'll be flying a specific aircraft for an airline, and there are many training academies around the world that offer a variety of Commercial Pilot Training programmes, with the most important eligibility requirement being that the student has completed 10+2 with a science stream from a recognised board of education.

2. Indian Defence Forces (Air Force)
If you want to become a pilot and pass the competitive entrance tests for the Indian Defence Forces, the Air force route is the best option. The National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, trains the shortlisted applicants from the rigorous entrance procedure for three years. The following is the procedure for joining the Indian Defence Forces:

Pilot Entrance Exam After 12th
The NDA Exam is India's pilot entry exam after 12th. After passing the NDA exam, you can join the IAF's flying branch. It is a math-based and general ability exam with the following primary subjects: English, Geography, History, General Knowledge, Physics, Maths, Chemistry, and Current Events.

SSB Interview:
The interview is divided into two stages:
1. A picture perception and discussion test, as well as an officer intelligence test.
2. Psychological tests, which are followed by group tasks and a personal interview.

Pilot Aptitude Test:
Pilot Aptitude Test is made up of written and machine exams that examine the candidate's ability to interpret instruments, as well as their mental strength and how well they can execute in various situations.
You must pass this test on your first attempt or you will be judged ineligible for the flying branch and will not be able to apply again.

Medical Exam:
The candidate's height, weight, and vision are all analysed properly.
