PLANO, TX – April 6, 2023 -- My Possibilities (MP), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering adults
with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is pleased to announce the appointment of Dawn Cavil
as our new Chief People Officer. In her new role, Ms. Cavil will lead the organization's human resources
initiatives and help to advance its mission of providing quality education and vocational training to adults
with disabilities.
Ms. Cavil brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having spent more than 30 years working in
human resources and organizational development roles. “I am thrilled to join the team at My Possibilities and
contribute to such a meaningful and impactful organization," said Ms. Cavil. "I am passionate about creating
an inclusive and supportive workplace culture that enables employees to thrive, and I look forward to helping
My Possibilities continue to grow and achieve its mission."
In her new role, Ms. Cavil will oversee all aspects of human resources at My Possibilities, including
recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, and training and development. She will
also play a key role in shaping the organization's culture and promoting diversity, equity, inclusion,
belonging, and accessibility across all aspects of the organization.
"She said that it didn't take her very long after she entered the building. Well, it didn't take us very long to
know she was the one. We are excited to welcome Dawn to My Possibilities as our new Chief People Officer,"
said Michael Thomas, executive director of My Possibilities. "Her deep experience and expertise in HR and
organizational development will be invaluable to us as we continue to expand our programs and services to
empower adults with disabilities."
