Thanks to its historical, geographical and environmental uniqueness, the property is listed by multiple forms of protection. The European Natura 2000 network listed it as SPA (Special Protection Area for birds) and SCI (Site of Cultural Interest). At the state level is an IBA (Important Bird Area). It is also registered as ANEI (Natural Area of ​​Special Interest) and AANP (Natural Area of ​​Special Interest with high level of protection) by the Balearic Autonomous Community.
