On March 20, 2019, the region of Nova Scotia invited applications of French language speakers for Canada Permanent residency immigration through Express Entry-linked Labour Market Priorities. For this, the selected candidates were picked as per the Labour market demand in the region and applications from the Express entry pool were selected. Before this draw as well, there was a draw for the Nova Scotia in 2019 which opened for Early childhood educators and Financial Auditors. But this time those applicants who had opted for the French language as the first language were shortlisted for migration. Currently, three to four percent of the population in Nova Scotia is French Language speakers.

But, there can never be a selection without the test. Hence, only those candidates who had the minimum language proficiency of CLB 7 or higher in the French Language abilities they were selected for the migration in the region. Apart from this, the other eligibility factors include a good educational qualification of at least a bachelor’s program, and the express entry profile of the applicant should have been submitted before 25th September 2018

After the selection, the candidates have 30 days to submit all the required documents to the Nova Scotia region. The shortlisted candidates are also eligible for the 600 bonus points in the express entry program selection. This helps the candidate get the upper hand over all the other Canada Express Entry candidates and increases the chances of selection.
