Cambray Provo graduated cum laude from Seattle University. As a university student, Cambray Provo made Seattle University College of Arts & Sciences Dean's List and the President's List for Academic Excellence. Cambray Provo excelled academically and used her abilities as a writer to begin work for the French Ministry of Education after graduation.

"I've been deeply interested in language, especially as it ties into communications," says Cambray Provo. “I am interested in applying language and visual communication as a public affairs professional.”
Cambray Provo has been busy writing for Seattle Arts & Lectures. "I enjoy working in communications. One of my main jobs is to update the Writers in the Schools blog," says Cambray Provo. She routinely writes biographies for the organization’s website but also “edits and collaborates to produce the Writers in the Schools anthology”.

The work of communications is changing. While communications work used to primarily involve writing press releases, social media led to evolving methods of reaching out to the public. "I have learned a lot about social media, and am gaining experience with social media; from writing and updating the blog, Facebook, and Twitter accounts." says Cambray Provo.

"As an entry-level professional I know I have to prove myself and my abilities as a writer and communications professional. I have a strong passion for policy and public affairs. Being familiar with social media with digital awareness, I am able to use different methods of communication to monitor the media and the conversations happening," says Cambray Provo.

While Cambray Provo is beginning her communications at Seattle Arts & Lectures, she is prepared to follow her career in a different direction. "I think the professional skills you learn in an internship setting allow you to develop and learn and can often apply broadly.” says Cambray Provo.
