The design of the thermal envelope sets the stage for improvements and benefits throughout the building. Experts estimates 20% to 40% of the heating and cooling is loss thru the windows, doors or attic, thus, the thermal envelope. Retrofit energy efficient windows, doors and insulation is an important strategy in improving the energy efficiency of a home.
