1. Eravikulam National Park: This national park was originally established in order to conserve natural resources and to protect Nilgiri Tahr (Nilgiri Ibex). This park is located in Devikulum, Idukki which is spread by 97 sq. km or rolling grasslands and high level evergreen forests. The 2695 mts. Anamudi Peak is located in the south. This national park was declared as sanctuary in 1975. This national park is obviously breathtakingly stunning.
2. Mattupetty: It is located 13 km from Munnar at the height of 1700 meters above the sea level. This is highly specialized in dairy farm which is established under Indo-Swiss livestock project. Over 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared there. Mattupetty Lake is located nearby farm which is a stunning picnic spot.
3. Devikulum: This is an idyllic tourist attraction which is located 7 km from Munnar. This is a scenic spot of exotic flora and fauna and the unspoiled mountain air which is a rare experience. In addition, it is a home to picturesque surroundings of Sita Devi Lake with its mineral waters. This lake is also ideal for trout fishing.
4. Rajamala: About 2695 meters above the sea level, Rajamala is a home to half of the world’s population of the rare mountain goat. The Nilgiri Tahr is also found in the region of Eravikulam-Rajamala. About 1300 Nilgiri Tahr is found there in Rajamala.
