Brandon Steven, an automotive dealership owner from Wichita, Kansas, is eager to win his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. This bracelet is considered the most prestigious award to win in poker. Steven has recently become a professional poker player and is working his way through the ranks. He was first attracted to the sport because it is closely related to business. He enjoys the challenge of combining mathematics with the art of reading opponents. In 2004, when he was first introduced to the game, he became instantly attracted to the game. The concept of all players starting on an equal level, no matter their ability, age, gender, or skill level paired with the fact that it takes so many skill sets to be successful got him hooked. He realized his ability to reason with people and mathematic skills were a winning combination.

After playing poker for a year he entered his first Las Vegas cash prize tournament. He placed second place at the end of the fourteen-hour day. He followed that second place result with several other good showings. In 2010, Steven wanted to test his mettle against the best poker players in the world. He entered the WSOP Main Event tournament, hoping to win his first bracelet. The tournament lasted a week and consisted of playing poker for twelve to fifteen hours a day. He finished in tenth place that year, one place away from the final table. After all of that hard work, Steven was heartbroken. He vowed to keep playing until he won his bracelet. He had been playing whenever he could to get experience and qualify for the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. Steven has been having success in these qualifying tournaments and improving his standings among poker players.
