Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 Company and a Maharatna Energy Conglomerate, has joined hands with Trinity Cleantech Private Limited (TCPL) to accelerate the development of dedicated fast-charging infrastructure for 2-wheelers and 3-Wheelers in Uttar Pradesh.

This collaboration has been formalized through a signed agreement, initially spanning three years, with provisions for extension of up to an additional two years based on mutual terms and conditions.

The primary objective of this alliance is to facilitate the widespread adoption of electric two-wheelers (e2Ws) and electric three-wheelers (e3Ws) by establishing dedicated direct current (DC) fast charging points throughout the state. These charging stations will be installed at BPCL energy stations strategically located in major cities across Uttar Pradesh.

Recognized as a Fully Integrated Maharatna Energy Company and a Fortune Global 500 entity, BPCL is partnering with TCPL, a Hyderabad-based company renowned for its expertise in setting up over 800 EV charging stations nationwide. The central focus of this collaboration is the deployment of DC fast charging stations designed to cater to e3Ws and e2Ws, aligning with BPCL's commitment to promote sustainable mobility and combat vehicular pollution.

The initial phase of this partnership will witness TCPL commencing installations at BPCL energy stations in Ayodhya, coinciding with the launch of electric auto-rickshaws for a special temple inauguration event graced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India.

Under this agreement, TCPL's initial focus will be on key cities such as Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Noida, Saharanpur, and Agra. DC fast charging stations will be set up at BPCL outlets, adhering to rigorous safety standards and the norms of the Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization (PESO).

Raj Kumar Medimi, Chief Executive Officer of TCPL, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, "This marks a milestone for Trinity Cleantech Private Limited as we gain access to BPCL's extensive network of petrol pumps across the country. This collaboration will enable us to set up DC Fast Charging stations and eliminate range anxiety."

The co-branded DC fast chargers are designed to accommodate vehicles ranging from 20V to 120V DC, with a current dispensing capacity of 100 amps per hour, ensuring convenience for electric vehicle users. This initiative not only advances electric mobility but also underscores BPCL's commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable solutions for a greener and cleaner future.
