Aloe vera
Latin name - Aloe vera synonyms: A. barbadensis Mill., Aloe indica Royle, Aloe perfoliata L. var. vera and A. vulgaris Lam.

Aloe vera extracts have antibacterial and antifungal activities, which help to treat minor skin infections, such as boils and benign skin cysts and inhibit growth of fungi ( tinea infection).
Inner-leaf gel from aloe vera was shown in one study to inhibit growth of Streptococcus and Shigella species in vitro.
Although it needs authenticated, valid clinical trial report still it is used in Indian traditional medicines for the treatment of common cold ,muscular dystrophy , rheumatoid arthritis , ulcerative colitis , hepatomegaly ,spleenomegaly etc.
Amla
Latin name - Phyllanthus emblica
English name- Indian gooseberry,
Sanskrit –amalika
Therapeutics properties –
Amla has proven antiviral and antimicrobial properties .
Amla reduces severity of acute pancreatitis and also promotes the spontaneous repair and regeneration process of the pancreas occurring after an acute attack.
According to Ayurveda, Amla balances all three doshas.
In Ayurveda It is used as a rasayana (rejuvenative) to promote longevity, and traditionally to enhance digestion (dipanapachana), treat constipation (anuloma), reduce fever (jvaraghna), purify the blood (raktaprasadana), reduce cough (kasahara), alleviate asthma (svasahara), strengthen the heart (hrdaya), benefit the eyes (chakshushya), stimulate hair growth (romasanjana), enliven the body (jivaniya), and enhance intellect (medhya).
Recent proven animal model trials Emblica officinalis tea may ameliorate diabetic neuropathy.
Amrit Chyavanprash
Also spelled chyavanaprasha, chyavanaprash,chyavanaprasam and chyawanprash, is an ancient Ayurvedic herbal preparation, widely used in India, as a rejuvenative, energizer and immunity booster. It is often called "the elixir of life" due to its nutritional properties.
Appearance and use of Amrit Chyavanprash)
Chyawanprash is a brown-colored, sticky paste called an avaleha in Sanskrit, and has the consistency of jam, with a sweet, sour and mildly pungent taste. Good quality Chyawanprash should have a creamy texture. Typical dosage ranges between 1-2 tsp, or 12-24 g, twice daily with a little milk or water on the side.
Therapeutic uses
While the Chyavanprash formula is large, containing 36 herbs, its main functions can be understood by grouping several of the herbs by similar therapeutic actions. The main functions of the formula are to improve digestion and respiration, the sources of metabolic energy.
The ingredients in Amrit Chyavanprash promotes digestion relieves nausea, hyperacidity, dyspepsia, and flatulence.
In addition, the formula has a calming effect on nervous energy and on stress, while improving concentration and memory, with its inclusion of Ashwaganda, Nardostachys,Bacopa, and Asparagus.

In Europe Anantamula root used as a tonic and blood purifier.
