They also support students who are socially awkward and apprehensive about interacting in the traditional classroom.

School districts have always offered alternative means of traditional education. Students who presented severe behavior problems or have experienced academic credit deficiencies have always had the option to complete their studies at local education association’s continuation or alternative high school. But, it becomes difficult for those students who do not meet this criteria and also those who have successfully matriculated through the traditional K-12 educational system only to discover that traditional high schools do not meet their academic needs.
