Or anything else for that matter. We're sticking by that,” Jeremiah promises. “But there is more to life than food, so now we have Unicat too.”

The company uses HD printing, hand cutting and sewing to produce tees that have to be seen to be believed. “People used to say, are they real? Now they know they are,” comments Jeremiah. “So we just say, it's like that one movie, where one day you wake up and everything makes sense.” Passers by might not agree about making sense, but the outrageous tees certainly create a talking point.

Beloved Shirts might push the boundaries of convention, but they're definitely topical. For customers into current affairs, tees featuring Donald Trump, Kim Jong Un or Bernie and his cat are where it's at right now. More personal statements challenge gender stereotypes, including dark, sexy hairy chests, bad tans or inappropriate nipples.

A pocket t-rex makes a more muted statement, as does the in-joke Pantone Tee and Blue Screen of Death. Geeks, nerds and Sheldons will appreciate cosmic phenomena such as nebulae, vortexes and galaxies, all printed in HD. Statements that won't be out of place at a party include “Sorry I'm late I didn't want to come” and “I feel like crying”. Who hasn't needed to say that?

If customers don't find a tee that grabs their apple (or pickle) in the store, there's always the option to customize or design-your-own. The responsive site allows for wraparound print designs as well as adjustable templates. There is nothing that cannot be said, as long as it's on a tee.
