The welding environment of seamless steel pipes is an important factor affecting the welding quality and performance. The welding environment should comply with relevant standards, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, light, noise, etc. The welding environment should be kept dry, ventilated, bright and quiet, and avoid interference from high temperature, high humidity, strong wind, strong light, strong noise, etc.
The requirements for the welding environment of seamless steel pipes are as follows:
Temperature, the temperature of the welding environment should be between 5℃~40℃. Too high or too low temperature will affect the welding quality and performance. Excessively high temperature will cause the weld to overheat, resulting in defects such as pores, cracks, and burn-through; too low temperature will cause the weld to be overcooled, resulting in defects such as cold cracks, non-fusion, and lack of penetration.
Humidity, the humidity of the welding environment should be between 40% and 80%. Too high or too low humidity will affect the welding quality and performance. Excessively high humidity will cause the welding materials to become damp, causing defects such as pores, cracks, and oxidation; too low humidity will cause the welding materials to dry out, causing defects such as spatter, deformation, and shedding.
Wind speed, the wind speed in the welding environment should be between 0.5m/s~1.5m/s. Too high or too low wind speed will affect the welding quality and performance. Too high wind speed will cause the welding gas to be blown away, causing defects such as pores, cracks, and oxidation; too low wind speed will cause the welding gas to accumulate, causing defects such as splashing, deformation, and shedding.
Light, the light in the welding environment should be between 300lx~500lx. Too high or too low light will affect the welding quality and performance. Excessively high illumination will cause visual impairment of welding personnel, resulting in welding errors, operating errors and other problems; excessively low illumination will cause insufficient vision of welding personnel, resulting in welding defects, operating hazards and other problems.
Noise, the noise in the welding environment should be between 60dB~80dB. Too high or too low noise will affect the welding quality and performance. Excessively high noise will cause hearing loss to welding personnel, resulting in welding errors, operating errors and other problems; excessively low noise will cause welding personnel to lose concentration, resulting in welding defects, operating hazards and other problems.
