BBD Shares the News of Chef Pere PlanagumA’s Visit in the City

BBD keeps publishing about the current events and the recent updated is that the St. Regis Bangkok is inviting two-Michelin-star chef Pere PlanagumA to feature at Jojo restaurant, which is one of the best fine dining restaurants in Bangkok.

 
Chef Pere has made his presence with an incredible pedigree from El Bulli, and Les Cols in Spain, he is well known for his inventive, viable and seasonal Spanish cuisine and will be presenting the same for dinner and lunch at Jojo, from January 22 to January 26, 2019 and the Sunday brunch at VIU, on January 27, 2019.

Chef Planaguma is a master at peeling the difficulties and simplifying the essentials. Restaurant Jojo will be featuring a 3 course menu consisting of Chef’s signature Spanish Omelette, Shellfishfideuà with saffron, basil, and other fresh herbs, and a crispy lamb leg with black truffle. Dinner at Jojo will be the permissive 8-course menu comprisingfish soup with allioli noodles, coconut mozzarella salad, tuna tartar with sea urchin and caviar, and a lobster suquet with soft potatoes. And the Sunday brunch at the St. Regis Bangkok will include signature gourmet treats as Chef Pere’s bacalao ceviche, fish brandade and Catalan creme brûlée, among other selections.

Chef PERE PLANAGUMÀ's passion for food surfaced at a young age because of his family's deep culinary traditions. During his college days he wrote, deliberated and helped snap a book on fusion cuisine very well. Pere then enrolled at the Culinary Institute of Madrid, Spain, where he apprenticed with some of the city's most celebrated kitchens, including Restaurant Arzak, Le Mario, El Cellerde Can Roca, Malaga restaurant and has been able to open his own Rom restaurant in Spain.

He is a lover of cooking and experimenting new dishes, and lean towards thoroughly controlled and well- cooked stuff, a course that enables one to extract flavours and textures. On the other side, he is fond of incredibly fast cooking also which keeps the integrity of ingredients and freshness intact.
