Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade recently reveals that engaging with India captain Virat Kohli on the field gets the better out of him whenever the two teams met earlier and he believes that will happen again when they will face each other again later this year.

India became the first Asian country to beat Australia in a Test series on their soil under Virat Kohli’s captaincy in 2018-19. The series witnessed some stellar performances from batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara, Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli and the fast bowling unit featuring Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma as well.

The four Tests of this year's much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar are scheduled to take place at Gabba, Adelaide Oval, MCG and the SCG respectively beginning December 3. Wade, who wasn't featured in Australia’s squad that played the Test series last time against India, also said via video conference with ESPNcricinfo, "I'll go out and play the way I like to play. We certainly don't go out chasing it. If it comes our way then you deal with it out on the field."

"Virat is very clever in the way he uses his words or his body language, so they (India) use it as an advantage. To be honest I don't want to engage too much into that, I know they thrive off that energy which comes from two (confronting) players. They are probably as good at doing that as anyone in the world at the moment, so it's something I might stay away from this time," he further added.

As the entire world has been fighting against the global pandemic novel coronavirus, all the sporting events have either been cancelled or postponed. However, Cricket Australia have announced their next schedule but without or less spectator would make the things different. Wade shared that players don't mind playing it since the game will begin but it will feel different while walking out as there will be no one in the stands to cheer for them.
