As CEO of her own company, Australian Innovative Systems (AIS), Elena Gosse believes that women are natural leaders and possess unique character traits which can be harnessed to help with career success.

Elena will elaborate on her theory, as well as share her own experiences of being a successful leader at the 2016 Australian Women’s Leadership Symposium to be held on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th June at Rydges South Bank Hotel in Brisbane.

Elena will speak on two occasions. On Wednesday at 11.10am she will be a panellist on the subject of ‘Navigating Your Career Choices’ with Belinda Brosnan, Managing Director, HR Junction; Dr Naomi Stead Associate Professor, School of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology, University of Queensland; Kate Green Financial Controller, Sojitz Mining Pty Ltd; and Bonnie Tai Assistant Director of Pharmacy, The Prince Charles Hospital. On Thursday at 9.20am she will conduct a keynote presentation on the topic of ‘No Holding Back’ and then receive questions from the audience.

Despite her busy work schedule Elena is a popular speaker on the conference and event circuit and has a particular passion for empowering other women.

“I am a firm believer in sharing knowledge and experiences to support women in their career journeys and help lead the next generation to success, Elena said.

“I want to encourage more female decision-making roles in business and politics and ensure that women do not hold themselves back from reaching their full potential.

“My own journey is a perfect example of how resourceful and determined women can be – especially when it comes to standing up for what you believe in, overcoming challenges and achieving goals.”

Elena will be joined at the Symposium by an elite group of professionals such as Ronni Khan (Founder, OzHarvest), Deborah Hutton (media personality), Juliette Wright, (Founder and CEO, GIVIT), Lance Hockridge (Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Aurizon) and the Hon Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland.

More than 250 delegates are expected to attend the event.
