Neuro NZT It can be tempting to forgo social events when you are feeling depressed, but there is a good chance that attending them can make you feel better. If you put yourself around others that enjoy you, they can help you feel like you're not as depressed, even if it's just for a short amount of time. This minimizes the time you have available to feel lonely and depressed.Anyone who suffers from depression should avoid alcohol. Alcohol is a known depressant that heightens the feeling of depression, especially in those who are prone to the illness. If temptation exists, remove all alcohol from your surroundings, and even attend an AA meeting as needed.Make sure to get a proper night's rest each night. Both your physical and mental health suffer if you don't get enough sleep. If you are sleep deprived, your depression and anxiety symptoms are more likely to be higher. If insomnia is a problem, then meditation can be effective, or your doctor can prescribe a sleep aid if he feels the need for it.
