Rick Wyatt with American Adventure Tours gives pointers on how to stay save when using RZR rentals in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS, NV: This time of year is busy for touring and off-road suppliers in Las Vegas. “We always stress safety first when people want to spend the day out riding dunes and having off-road fun. RZR rentals in Las Vegas are skyrocketing this season, and we want everyone to be safe,” says Rick Wyatt with American Adventure Tours.

According to Wyatt, the RZR is the newest way to enjoy off-road fun when you want to rent an ATV in Vegas. He says, “The RZR is by Polaris, and it gives a family to enjoy 4-wheeling together. The side by side seating allows family members to ride along so they can join in on the fun with an experienced driver at the helm.”

When asked about safety measures, the first thing Wyatt said was, “Water. Water, and more water. You have GOT to stay hydrated when you’re enjoying outdoor activities, especially here. When you rent an ATV in Vegas, you can forget how hot it is, and lose track of time. All of a sudden, you’re dehydrated, and your condition is compromised.” Wyatt recommends that all parties participating in driving or riding on RZRs or ATVs keep a canteen or water bottle handy, and refill it often.

Another important safety measure is to wear a helmet. “You’d be surprised at how many passengers don’t think they don’t need a helmet, because they’re not driving. But no matter what your riding, if you’re traveling at more than a jogger’s run, you need a helmet.”

He also recommends taking a driving course on an ATV. “They don’t take long, and you’ll enjoy your ATV or RZR experience so much more, because you’ll know what to expect from the machine.”

Other pointers for safe riding of your RZR rental in Las Vegas is to stay on designated trails and always ride with a friend. In addition, watch out for livestock and wildlife. They don’t move out of your way very quickly.
