London cookery school L’atelier des Chefs are offering a fantastic range of Mediterranean themed cooking classes this August. Their chefs have developed summer workshops and recipes using ingredients such as olives, tomatoes, aubergines, and feta cheese, as well as lots of fish, seafood and fresh fruit. Click here for more details.

Mediterranean cuisine has some great flavours, using fresh ingredients to create dishes that are both healthy and delicious. L’atelier’s new recipes speak of sunshine and al fresco dining, with dishes such as chilled Provençale tomato soup, pan-fried sea bream with olive oil mash and peach clafoutis. These light meals are perfect for summer and can cheer up the dinner table even if the weather isn’t what it should be.

Executive chef André Dupin said:
“One of the fantastic things about Mediterranean food is that is very easy to adapt and you can really make the most of your favourite herbs, fruits and vegetables.”
This flexibility means a Mediterranean cooking class can keep inspiring you long after the event. L’atelier provide copies of the recipes after the class, so you can recreate the dish at home. As Mediterranean cuisine often uses seasonal ingredients, you can swap different elements for whatever is available at the time or whatever you happen to have in the fridge.

Chef Dupin also said:
“Mediterranean cooking isn’t about specific measurements, it’s about great flavour combinations that you can enjoy day in, day out.”

Attending a cooking workshop can be a great way of improving your culinary skills. New dishes can seem daunting at first, but L’atelier des Chefs’s cooking school has professional chefs to guide you through the menu with ease. All of their chefs have worked in top restaurants and are now dedicating themselves to passing on their skills. Whether you are interested in pasta making or working with fish, there is something for everyone.

L’atelier des Chefs is the leading cookery school in London, with a huge range of classes and top-quality chefs. The kitchens are impeccably designed and there are private dining areas for people to relax and enjoy their meal after the class. Whether you have half an hour or half a day, a small budget or a larger one, a cooking class is an unforgettable experience. Visit the website for more information.
