Bhopal, 5thAugust, 2015: While ‘Love Thy NeighborAs Thyself’ might be one of the commandments, it clearly wouldn’t apply to the Gupta and Tripathi families of Lucknow. SAB TV, India’s most loved family channel’s latest offering ‘Hum AapkeGharMeinRehte Hain’ brings alive this love-hate relationship between two neighboring families. The show revolves around the journey of an ex-dacoit, Bachani Devi and her family staying for decades in the house of the officer she surrendered to and the rightful owners of the house – The Tripathis
Produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions, Hum AapkeGharMeinRehte Hain is a distinct yet light hearted show portraying hilarious conflicts for property possession betweenthe two families – one lead by ex-dacoit, BachaniDevi -VibhaChibberfrom the ‘Gupta Family’ and the other by asimpleton, Professor Tripathi – Ehsaan Qureshi from the ‘Tripathi Family’. The point of conflict for both families is that Bachani Devi in her affectionate yet terrorizing ways wants to continue living in the house till her last breath while Tripathi’s last wish is to acquire his ancestral house, what ensues is total chaos!
To ensure that he is as persistent as he could be, Professor Tripathi lives as a tenant in the very next house. Both families use peculiar drills to ensure that the other vacates the house at the soonest. Amidst all this, an innocent romance is set to bloom between Shakti essayed by ShivaniTomar, the grand daughter of Bachani Devi and Raghav essayed by Aditya Pandey who is Tripathi’s eldest son. Each day unfolds the bouts between the heads of the two families and a delicate love liaison growing strong day by day.
