Acute DVT or DVT is Deep Vein Thrombosis occurs in all ages of men and women. This a serious condition occurs when there is a blood clot in the vein of deep inside the body. The presence of blood clot prevents the blood circulation in the body. Blood clot is nothing but the formation of clumps of blood and appears in solid state. This kind of deep vein blood clots mostly occur in thigh and lower part of the leg.

Signs and symptoms of DVT

The larger the blood clot the more severe symptoms can occur while walking, running or in standing position.Symptoms can be
· Swelling in legs and ankles
· Leg pain when walking and standing
· Enlarged veins
· Skin appears blue or red in legs
The signs can include
· Shortness of breath
· Chest pain
· Cough comes up with blood
· Higher heart rate
