Amplifi, a prominent financial services conglomerate headquartered in New Zealand, has recently announced the launch of Sage Wealth Management, a new subsidiary aimed at offering differentiated, independent financial advice. The establishment of Sage Wealth Management is part of Amplifi's multi-pronged plan to create a diversified financial services group, and it is hoped that the subsidiary will contribute significantly to this goal.
Sage Wealth Management was established last year under the Sage brand, and Aga Krzeczkowska, a seasoned financial services industry professional with 17 years of experience, was hired as the senior wealth adviser. Krzeczkowska will be responsible for managing portfolios for private clients, charities, and trusts, as well as contributing to the investment committee and the broader strategy of the new advice business.
To further enhance the quality of its services, Amplifi has appointed Makao Investments as an independent asset consultant. The Sage board comprises executives from Mint and Ascentro Partners leaders, New Zealand Private Equity, and despite the ownership links to Mint, Sage has no obligation to recommend products issued by Mint Asset Management Limited or other entities within the Amplifi Group. The company also does not receive any commissions, fees, or other incentives for recommending products issued by these entities.
Krzeczkowska, who has a minority share in Amplifi, emphasized that Sage is "independent and client-centric, putting clients' outcomes first is our main priority." She also highlighted that Sage has a transparent fee-based service structure and wealth model, as well as a strong investment process.
Amplifi, led by former senior ANZ executive Fred Ohlsson, was established as a joint venture between Mint and Auckland private equity firm Ascentro Capital Partners in late 2021. In the same year, Amplifi acquired a 60% stake in Nelson-based advice practice Totara Wealth Management. With the launch of Sage Wealth Management, Amplifi is poised to offer a wider range of financial services to clients across New Zealand.
