The magazine is authored by a variety of skilled and accomplished three dimensional artists like CJ Munn, Dave Parvin and Bruner Barrie who regularly share their expert techniques and opinions through feature articles. Even Arlene Strom - former senior category buyer for Blick Art Materials - contributes her expertise in artist materials through her regular column, ‘Material Girl’.

Besides this, consummate sculptor, life casting artist, writer and instructor, Ed McCormick is the publishing brains behind the ArtMolds Journal. Needless to say, he consistently updates the latest art news and life casting news in his art magazine apart from sharing expert tips and other secrets.

The ArtMolds Journal strives to present a well-rounded view in both its print and digital art magazine versions by inviting article contributions from three dimensional artists, special effect artists, mold makers artists, ceramicists and stone carvers as well as art critics, historians, collectors, publicists and other specialists.

Anyone interested in contributing to the art magazine are free to submit an article for publishing consideration. There are a range of topics that you can write on –exploring artist materials, techniques and practices or a review of new products and tools in the market or even new ways of using any existing product. Youcan choose to explore issues that are important to artists in general. Your article can even focus on ways to work smarter, healthier and more efficiently in the mold makers artists studio space. A feature on any particularly accomplished artist can even make it to the coveted Artist Spotlight section!

Simply send a cover letter query that details your story idea. You can even include slides or a CD of images (if applicable) or enclose photocopied clips of previous articles you have published (if any). The ArtMolds Journal is a bi-monthly magazine for life casting artists, mold makers, casting artists, special effects technicians, ceramicists and stone carvers, as well as enthusiasts, collectors and galleries. It was founded in May 2013 by Ed McCormick, co-founder of the Artists’ Guild, Association of Lifecasters International (ALI) and Managing Director of EnvironMolds, LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of art supplies.
