How to Write a Product Review

Most people do not know how to write program/ product reviews and I am one of them. Before becoming actively online working on my blog, I knew literally nuts about creating a website/ blog and writing reviews, but I was determined to learn, so I searched online for the answers. I came across Wealthy Affiliate( I am an active member of Wealthy Affiliate). My profile here, read my full review of Wealthy Affiliate here! That where my education journey online starts and learned to build up my blog.

Why It’s Essential To Learn To Write Reviews?

It is not to just write reviews but learn to write in a effective manner. Well do you know that buyers trust a consumer review 12 times more than the manufacturer’s one? In fact, 90% of people trust recommendations from their friends and 70% trust those of unknown users. Before people buy the product, they search online to check if the product/ program is creditable and trustworthy. Therefore they look for reviews of other people who have used the product and their thoughts on the product, you can earn commissions sales for a little bit of research and writing.

Your first task today is to create a review template that will act as a guideline for all of your reviews. Having a “standardized ” review template can lead to much more efficiency and smooth writing of your reviews as well as consistency for your visitors which in turn leads to more conversions.

There is an example of my template.

Product Name Review

Name: Product Name

Website: Website URL

Price: Membership plans

Owners: Owners Names

Overall Rank: _ out of 100

Product Name, Product Overview

An general outlook of what the product is about. This is just a brief intro similar to an abstract. You don’t have to go into the details here.

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

PRO #1
PRO #2
PRO #3

The Bad:

CON #1
CON #2
ETC

As there is no perfect product, always include both the pros and cons of the product. It will be seen as a more creditable review, if it a more positive review, ensure that the pros are more than the cons and the negative are only minor.

Who Is The Product Name For?

Information “who” is the audience the product is targeted at and who will benefit from this product.

Product Name Tools & Training

What are the key features, benefits and specifications of the program? Usually this information is available on the sales page of the product creator. Bullet the lists so that your readers can pick out the features that they are interested in.

Product Name Support

Is there a community, forum, personal help and support and live chat.

Product Name Price

The different levels of pricing. Is there any other upsells?

Your Own Experience & Opinion

I recommend that you try out the product, some programs have a free trial period. Sign up for the free trial to get valuable insights on your first hand experience of being a product user. Try to include images of you using the product in action. You can pay a small fee to try out if there no free trial. Of course, it will be impossible to try out all the products out there, as there are thousands and some are expensive ranging from the hundreds of dollars. Then you can use the reviews of others and do some research.
