In my own personal experience, I was taken advantage of by Mr Mohammed Ahmed Quadri, a real estate agent who manipulated me into selling my land for far less than it was worth.

It all started when Mr Mohammed Ahmed Quadri approached us, a group of villagers, to sell their land at a value which was higher than the market value. We were happy that we were getting a good return for our land. He gave us one fourth value of our lands and signed an agreement of understanding. Later, he informed me that someone has filed a litigation on our lands because of which sale would not be possible. This was actually a false case filed by the agent himself of which we were not aware of.

After some time, he convinced us that the only solution is to pay some amount and sell the land rather than keep the case running in courts. Out of compulsion, we sold our lands thinking that this is the only solution. He paid some petty amount to us and sold the land. This was far less than what he had promised. In fact, it was he who had purchased the land.

There have been many instances where Mr Mohammed Ahmed Quadri has cheated landowners by filing false cases against them and then forcing them to sell their land at a low price. This has become his modus operandi. In some cases, Mr Mohammed Ahmed Quadri has even threatened the landowners with violence if they do not sell their land. Mr Mohammed Ahmed Quadri has often targeted vulnerable landowners who are not aware of the legal process and are not able to defend themselves against these false cases. As a result, many innocent people have been forced to sell their land at a fraction of its value.

I feel that the government has to take some concrete steps to stop this exploitation by Mr Mohammed Ahmed Quadri and protect the rights of landowners.
