He was speaking at a recent press meet organised by the company in the city. The event was well attended by members of the press-print, online and broadcast media.

Addressing the meet, the CEO traced the growth of the company from humble beginnings. The website is part of the Jindal Group of industries.
The history of the website can be traced to the year 1982, which was the year of the start. The group was begun by starting Jindal Gas Appliances for producing gas cock assembly, which is a crucial technical component in L.P. Gas stove that is precision engineered.

In 1986, the group started a new company by the name of Jindal Home Products Pvt. Ltd. that began to manufacture LP Gas, Cook tops, Bio Gas stoves and Gas tables.

In 1989, the group established Jindal Lamination and Engineering Works for fabrication jobs and press stops for pan support rings, gas stove bodies, click on adaptors, commercial and industrial burners.

1999 was the year of bulk kitchen equipment. Jindal Kitchen Equipments Pvt. Ltd was set up for producing bulk heating/kitchen cooking/ cooling and ancillary equipment used in large establishments like hotels, hospitals, canteens and kitchens.

“In 2013, we reached a milestone with the setting up of e-commerce platform by the name Appliancemart.in,” said a top executive. Set up by Jindal Gas Appliances Pvt. Ltd, it is a platform to bring together the finest manufacturers of kitchen appliances directly with the customers.

“The advantage with the setting up of the portal is that there will be a quick resolution of problems encountered by customers by referring the same to our customer relations department,” said the CEO. “It will also result in innovation and improvement of product because of the feedback from customers received by the R&D department. Today, the group is ready with infrastructural facilities to meet the order of any type of kitchen equipment,” he said.

The product line of the company consists of gas stoves, hobs, meethi angeethis, chimney, small appliances and combo offers available for home and kitchen online shopping.

Gas stoves include Marble top, Glass top, Stainless steel, Ceramic series, Designer series, Cooking range, Two-burner, Three-burner, and Four-burner stoves. Meethi Angeethis are of stainless steel and glass top. Small appliances include a collection consisting of Mixer-juicer-grinder, Hand blenders, Electric kettles, lighters, cylinder trolley, irons, cookers and toasters.
