The district administration of Haryana has launched a website on which home buyers and property investors can post their grievances. The decision was taken by the administration in an attempt to make Gurgaon’s real estate market glitch-free.

The admin has set up the Gurgaon Arbitration Council (GAC) that will work in close association with REDCO Haryana (Real Estate Development Council Services) in order to resolve various issues related to delayed possession, fraudulent practices and property disputes in the least amount of time. Both the governmental bodies will take up grievances posted on the website and resolve them asap.

“Through the website, affected parties will be able to contact the council, which will provide a solution through an arbitrator. A number of real estate projects were launched in the last decade and, with every passing day, new projects are coming up. But these have not been completed and have resulted in an array of disputes,” says deputy commissioner T L Satyaprakash.

“The forum was not able to resolve all disputes as there were too many cases. Still, 122 disputes are pending. As there was no scope of arbitration at the AGRF, the district administration in association with REDCO has launched the Gurgaon Arbitration Council which will ensure that investors and developers get a platform where they can resolve their disputes,” he added.

"Our city cannot progress unless the real estate sector is hassle-free. The forum could not help resolve all disputes. As many as 122 disputes are still pending with it.
