The renowned author Dom LaRay is happy to announce that she has released a new book titled "A Million Heartbreaks." The book is already available on Amazon.com. It is an anger-provoking and heart-wrenching chronicle of Basil Jones’s journey through sexual abuse from a family member with a sexual abuse history, and through parental neglect by a drug addicted mother. The abuses were not just from within the family, they also came from babysitters and neighbors as well.

After a million heartbreaks Basil hungers for love but has no idea where to find it. She has low self esteem and has adopted a cynical perception of herself. She learns that the journey leading back to self-love is hard and unpredictable.

After being deserted by her mother, the author describes in chilling detail how she and her brother Daniel were taken in by a neighbor whose son beat and sexually abused both of them repeatedly. Basil struggles to survive in this family full of abuse and dysfunction. But suppressing memories and keeping secrets will only last for a time and finally she’ll have to face up to the horrendous past she so badly tried to forget.

Basil’s story is quite gripping, and through all 174 pages, this talented author keeps you on edge until the end. “Some of my greatest talents, I discovered by saying “yes” when someone asked me to do something I had never done,” says Dom LaRay, the author of "A Million Heartbreaks."

Basil becomes a master at masking her emotions, but this has caused more harm than she could have ever imagined. Life has taught her how to cheat, steal, and lie. Finally she’s caught embezzling and is forced to re-think her life and through God, she finds salvation.
