Anthony Smith from Berkeley has dedicated his life to working with children and helping them do well in school and in life. He has worked at many high schools and helps coach youth sports and directs many afterschool programs. He graduated from San Francisco State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Five years after graduating he decided to go back to school and become a teacher so he could work with students and help them succeed.

After obtaining his degree as a teacher, he began teaching at Edison Elementary School as a self-contained teacher. He taught elementary school students from 1998 to 2003 while also attending an advanced education program at the University of La Verne. After earning his Master of Science with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (MS PPSC) in Counseling, he went on to work at Balboa High School in San Francisco, California as an academic counselor.

As a counselor, he was responsible or for providing students with personal, academic, social, and vocational advice. He also helped many students prepare for college by helping them apply, turn in essays, learn about scholarships and financial aid options and making sure they were mentally prepared. During his time as a counselor, he helped many students.

Anthony Smith Berkeley also worked Berkeley High School in Berkeley, California. He worked closely with each of his students and even involved their parents when necessary to ensure that they were doing their best and making progress. The success of his students is his number one priority and he encourages all of them to go on to college or the further their education in another way. He also worked with social workers, therapists, psychologists, and doctors when necessary to ensure that his students are getting all the help and care that they need.

Anthony Smith from Berkeley now works as an academic counselor at Castlemont High School in the Oakland Unified School District. He cares a lot about his student and their futures and is always available to help them and offer suggestions that could help them improve their grades and get them on the path to success.
