DDA or Delhi Development Authority has decreased the minimal area of LDRP/Farm House from 2.5 to 1 acre. The farmhouse concept was originated in the 60s in the location of Delhi. During that time, the houses were quite simple within the field and very less in numbers. Moreover, there were no proper guidelines for it. Due to the passage of time, the property market is considered as the great investment hub in the year 80s and 70s. From the late 80s to the year 2000, there was a huge trend available for farmhouse of south Delhi. Consequently, farmhouses began to receive recognition initially. This journey improves the price of the land from lakhs to crores.
Most of the high-profile families are highly interested in hearing the concept of country houses and started to give first priority to Delhi Farmhouse than ordinary houses. Presently, landowners were permitted for doing construction of about 100 square meters on the plot of 2.5 acres. This policy is considered to be unsatisfactory for most of the farmhouse lovers. Due to this reason, urban development ministry has taken appropriate measures to easily revise the farmhouse policy.
As per the new rules & regulations, the farmhouses use the term low density residential houses. According to this policy, the older farm houses around the urban areas are easily regularized. The new LDRA Police is allowed only in the chosen villages while maintaining the necessary terms & conditions of greenery housing. The ministry of urban development has announced 23 villages in the capital city of Delhi in terms of Low Density Residential Area. LDRA is applied for the villages that lie under Green Belt. MPD 2021 tends to support the farmhouse or country home concept and it proves to be a new start for the people who need a luxurious residential unit in Delhi.
