1. Open your Gmail web page: To access your Gmail account, open your browser of choice and then type Gmail official address i.e. www.gmail.com on the address bar and hit "Enter" button. Soon, you will land on Gmail’s sign-in screen.
2. Now login to your account: To log in, enter your e-mail address on box in the center of the screen, and enter your password. Click on the "Sign In" option below the page to access your account.
• Once you are logged in, you will be landed on your main Gmail inbox page. Now look on the right side of the screen, you will find a small icon that you can click on.
3. Open the Settings page and select the gear button. You will see a drop-down menu on your screen. Go down to the “Settings” button, this will be located at fifth place from the top. After clicking on this, Gmail settings page will open.
4. Ensure that you are in the “General” tab under "Settings." It must be the default settings menu.
• If you find you are on another menu, watch the top of the screen straight below "Settings" option. The first choice on the right side shows "General"; click on that to confirm you are on the page of “General Settings”.
5. Keep scrolling down until you find "My Picture." It will be about middle down to your Settings page.
6. Then after change your Profile picture visibility: At this level you can see a blue link above your profile photo that states “Change picture.” If you look around to the right of the Change Picture link, you will find two choices i.e. “Visible to everyone” & “Visible only to people that I can chat with.”
• You will see a bubble beside each option. To make your picture private, click on the bubble at the side of the 2nd option.
• If done properly, the people who are added as a contact only can see your picture.
7. Click on “Save” button to keep your changes. If you are fulfilled with your changes, then you will only need to do is scroll down of the page. There you will find a “Save Changes” button; you must click on to confirm the changes you prepared.
