Massachusetts, August 15, 2017 - To celebrate the launch of the new website, E-Magazine and photography startup “popular photo” (https://www.popular-photo.com), a photo contest is lunched (August 2018) and is open for submission for photographer. The contest is named “The Popular Portrait” photo contest and winners will be awarded with cash prizes and exposure in the popular photo E-Magazine in 2018.

The name is similar to the famous popular photography magazine, almost at the same time that popphotography ended the new photo magazine platform popular photo got started. They are not related companies or projects and it maybe just a coincidence that popular photo started right after popular photography ended after so many years.
Popular photo is now in early stages and is calling for entries for their first event to get introduced to the photography market. “We are going to have special events designed for our magazine, this is a unique platform and we believe it is the future of magazines in the internet era, we call it interactive E-Magazine platform. We all loved magazines like popular photography or life or many other publishing magazines, they ended because paper publishing is not the future of this market, I think we all know it and it’s not something new. Popular Photo is a new and unique interactive platform for magazine” said M.Daemi the popular photo founder.
Popular portrait competition is open for submission and open to vote from August 2017. As mentioned it is a free photo contest till starting of 2018. And after that there will be a fee but offer by a promotional offer on the magazine subscription. The photo competition winners are determined in two stages. First stage is based on votes and views they get which are the popularity factors in this contest. After the finalists and the Top 50 photos were selected, the winners will be selected by juries based on quality and given votes. The jury is going to be announced after the finalists are selected by the popularity factors.
Plus, Popular Photo has an online photography community and photo sharing platform for people in photography. Photo model or photographer or retoucher and etc, all can make their personal and business profiles and use the online photo sharing and online profiles of popular photo.
