In India the leather crafts are being considered as raw material for making handicraft items. In the ancient time sages and rishis used to meditate on the animal skin like - dead lion and black deer. There are many handicraft items made of leather which we use in daily life like - caps, bags, jeans, toys, belts, toys, footwear, puppets etc.
In India there is also work performed on the leather bags and saddles like - ornamental even the geometrical shapes and designs are used to decorate these leather accessories. In south Indian states like - Tamil Nadu and Karnataka the leather products are coloured and decorated with mythological designs.
Indian Metalware -
Indian Metalware industry is almost 5000 years ago since Mahabharata time and still is in existence. Many metals like - iron, copper, brass, gold are used to make themetalic items like - utensils, frames, mirrors, statues, idols, sculptures and animal and human beings figures.
In India from the ancient time the idols and statues were also made from the wax. There were figures made from the wax and the the complete figure is covered with clay and coating. Today brass items are also prepared in large quantities due to scarcity of other metals.

Cane is a strong but flexible metal which can be a perfect choice for making solid wood furniture and many items can be made by it like - chairs, tables, sofas, stools, shoe racks, bookshelves etc. These furniture are available in different prices and varieties.
