The ancient pottery making skill of India shows the glory and ethnicity of Indian Culture. This is in existence from the ancient Harappan Civilization. In Vishnu Purana there is also a depiction of pottery compared with the sun’s momentum. There are two types of pottery in the trend - wheel made and hand made.
In addition of the pottery art the earthenware and porcelain items are always there in existence. The water and grains storage were in done through pots. More than one million pottery artisans are working in our agriculture economy. There is also other work of pattern designing and colour designing done on the pots. Its shape and colour shows the ethnicity and craftsman skill of Indian artisans.

The glassware industry in India is old as 5000 years since the time of the epic war of Mahabharata. It’s great effect can be seen in the Mughal Empire. There were foil work performed on the glass objects in the Mughal period.
Today in India, glass bangles are quickly being famous for women wear these days. They are available in different colours and patterns which are especially famous in newly wed women.
Glass beads of India is all over the world. Especially firozabad and Banaras are the main cities of India for preparing the glass bangles. Many crockery and kitchenware items are also made up of unbreakable glass.

Indian Textiles -
Indian Textile is cotton based textile industry in which the proof is since available from the indus valley civilization. Indian cotton textiles is very famous in the other part of the world like - central asia, Rome, USA, China and UK.
During the British Empire the work of cotton, Jute and other textile material the mills of Manchester and Liverpool mills which were very famous textile mills at that time in UK. Daka silk material was very popular in the whole world.
