Poly Cast is a china based company which deals in custom molded components made from engineered resin. The company also deals in other market segments like - automotive, medical, consumer electronics, industrial & other creative industries.
This company was established in 2006 in United States to support their US client to establish a plant in China. Poly Case recognized the emerging opportunities from the chinese market and they established themselves as the most vulnerable companies in China. In this case study we will try to understand that what is the main benefit for the Poly-Cast by implementing ERP software.
There were two main challenges in front of the Poly- cast company when they launched their plant in china that were -
to manage the financials for pre tax laws
To manage the cost accounting operations.
To manage these challenges, company tried to outsource the accounting work but the other outsourcers were only providing the tax laws financial management but not for the manufacturing data and cost accounting. There was no doubt that Poly-Case was emerging in the Chinese market but they needed the better financial data to understand the basic conditions of the market.
So the Poly-Cast company decided to implement the enterpriseIQ software for the MES and ERP software system in which all the segments were internally connected which was the real first need of the company.
This software was implemented in to two locations - one in oregon branch and second in china. They completely collected the whole data within 3 months and they later on created reports related to financial data. It was proven more cheap than to outsource the financial data.
