ING vysya bank is the multinational indian bank established in 2002. It is mainly headquartered in Bangalore in India and owned by the dutch group ING group. The company and bank is operating the financial transactions worldwide and it has employed more than 7000 people in India.
In 2013, ING vysya bank was the seventh highest private bank in India and it was holding the more than the 50000 crore INR physical assets. It had more than total 500 branches and was serving to more than 2 million customers.
Why ERP was needed in ING vysya bank -
The banking industry in India is competitive more than any other industry or sector and it is basically run by mergers and acquisitions and takeovers. In the overall Indian scenario HR issues are more complicated than ever. It can not be aligned with the local market as well the organization policies and practices and move to the employee side more.
The main mission was of ING vysya bank was to align its HR processes and goals with its operations and employee mindsets. There were some other challenges like - time and budget constraints, no single system of data collection in documents and complexed legal system.
Firstly they had implemented the ERP software of peoplesoft which was proven wrong later due to many reasons like the wrong selection of ERP software and proper implementation problems.
