The rod is aluminum and is very lightweight. The rod also extends to be the perfect length for wiping down the floor. It contracts so it's easy to store away. The end of the rod combines to the flat mop portion by twisting it in and the flat portion can also be stored away flat because connector portion can bend and go down. The bottom of the map has velcro straps that allow the cloth to stick onto it.

The set comes with three cloths that can be attached to the mop. There is one that looks like a mop that can be dipped in water and used to wipe the floor. This has extra things on the side which makes it look more like a mop. If it is used dry, it picks up hair and dust really well because it is microfiber which is very absorbent and attracts dust particles. The second cloth is the same thing without the extra things on the side. The last one is soft and I think it's for drying the floor and wiping it down. I love these because they are reusable so I don't have to keep buying new cloths to use. It's super easy to clean by just throwing them in the washer or rinsing them off. Convenient and cost effective!”
