Toronto, Canada (November 16, 2014) - The Open World Toronto Film Festival is the most open minded and welcoming film competition in the world, honoring independent film makers from across the globe in categories such as Actor/Actress Reel, Music Video, Web Series, Short, Long Short, Documentary, and Feature – in all genres. The Festival itself is a glamorous event with a red carpet walk, winner’s award ceremony, and masterpiece screening night.

Hosted by actress Katie Uhlmann and judged by an esteemed panel of producers, directors, and film makers, the OWTFF will take place at 7pm on September 25, 2015 at one of Toronto’s prestigious theaters. A red carpet walk will be followed by an awards ceremony and screening night. A V.I.P. Pass to the entire festival and all its events is only $15 if you order before December 25th, 2014. Prices will steadily increase nearer to the event date.

If you are interested in submitting your work, deadlines for submissions will be open until August 25th, 2015. There is currently a $10-$15 entrance fee, with the fee increasing as the final deadline approaches. Note that while all films are accepted, if the film is in another language (other than English) subtitles are required.

A new venture of Sabine Mondestin and Steve Lareau, OWTFF is a Film Festival that helps aspiring and established filmmakers gain exposure and recognition. The festival provides an equal chance of winning for all entrants, regardless of size and budget. Entries are judged solely on quality of craft and creativity, with a goal of helping artists gain publicity, media exposure, and momentum, as well as pay tribute to their ingenuity.
